With an obesity epidemic in America and the rest of the world slowly falling behind, the time comes to better yourself. One way to do this is by eating healthy and exercising. However, healthy eating does not have to be painful. One device that can help you enjoy all the foods you would normally have to give up is an air fryer, which uses rapid heating technology to allow hot air to prepare your food.
For the most part, the appearance of the smart health air fryer is simple. It features a sleek black design with an LCD screen and buttons. It appears durable but only weighs ten pounds, making it lightweight and easy to carry. It is also a little smaller than other fryers, meaning you may be able to store or set it on the counter if it is large enough.
Ease of Use
Overall, this air fryer is extremely simple to use. Simply set the temperature (or push a preset button) and preheat your appliance. Then, add the food, set the timer, and wait for it to cook. You do not have to worry about getting too busy and forgetting about it either- the air fryer will automatically shut itself off once the timer has gone off.
The company does lose points here for not being able to provide a recipe book that would further increase customer understanding of their product and how it should be properly used. However, this problem has a rather easy solution because of the wide selection of recipes that can be found on the Internet.
Ease of Cleanup
The cleanup has one advantage and one disadvantage. First, the air fryer is top rack dishwasher safe. This, paired with the non-stick pan, make it very easy to clean. Unfortunately, the dishwasher can also cause wear and tear after a few months of use, making the Teflon fall off.
Quality of Food
This produces an excellent quality of food, with a lot less grease than some other cooking methods. Food comes out of the air fryer crisp on the outside and tender on the inside. One downside is that it may occasionally dry out, but you can combat this using oil.
One downside (or upside, depending on who you are), is that this air fryer is not big enough to cook for an entire family. It may cook for a family with small appetites or parents with 1-2 kids, but it sometimes seems as if the air fryer belongs in a bachelor pad or college dorm.
Extra features are almost always a good thing, and they do not fail to deliver in this case. Some of the things you may find on your appliance include an LCD backlight, 8 preset buttons, and more. These are designed to help make the air fryer easier to use, without the need to look up recipes. While finding recipes online is still necessary for cooking success, the presets really do help with guidance.
The customer service has its good points and bad points. On the downside, the company does not have a warranty and will not accept returns after 30 days. This is disappointing. However, the Versonel company did listen to customers and make changes to the basket in Spring of 2015, hoping that it would be a lot easier to pull in and out of the air fryer.
One great thing about this air fryer is the price, which is significantly lower than some of the other choices. It costs around $150.
This Versonel air fryer has both advantages and disadvantages that come with its purchase. While it does fail to deliver in some areas, it is still top notch in others. However, this particular air fryer seems like it would be best if you were trying to get the most out of your money. It is not a top-of-the-line appliance, however, it does do an air fryer justice. It can prepare delicious foods, cleans up fairly easily, and is packed of extra features that add convenience to your cooking. It is not the best, but it is one of the best air fryers for the price.
